Frequently asked questions

What do you need to work with me?

In the 'BIO&CONTACT' tab, you’ll find an email address and a mobile phone number. You can tell me about your idea via email, a WhatsApp message, or by calling me if you prefer.

How much does my work cost?

The price can vary. When working with institutions or companies, illustrators assess the intended use and impact of the work being requested, and then a quote is prepared accordingly. The best thing you can do is ask me.

How much does a thesis cover cost?

Between €200 and €350, depending on the complexity of the work.

How can you know if I’m the right person for your project?

First, by checking my portfolio—you’ll see that I have the knowledge and experience needed, and that my work meets a high standard.
Second, you can reach out to someone I’ve worked with. Here are some happy clients: I’ve collaborated with Juan Arizaga from the Aranzadi Science Society, Fernando Silla from the University of Salamanca, Vicente Urios from SEO/BirdLife, and Juan Mañero from the creative studio Exteriorízate. Feel free to ask them about their experience working with me.

How do I charge for my work?

For individuals (e.g., thesis covers or illustrations for their research), I request 50% upfront once the quote is approved, and the remaining 50% upon delivery of the final illustration.
For institutions or companies, it will depend greatly on how the project is structured.

  1. will ask you lots of questions in order to recommend the best visual solution and to propose a budget, working conditions, and timeline.

  2. We will negotiate and come to an agreement.

  3. You will pay the first part of the fee.

  4. I will conduct research to better understand the topics we want to address. We’ll stay in touch in case any questions arise or if you’d like to recommend any bibliography or specific materials. After that, I will present you with ideas and sketches.

  5. Once the sketches are approved, we’ll refine them until we can create the final clean version. Your involvement is very important at this stage, as you’ll need to review the drawing and confirm whether the scientific content is accurate or needs any corrections.

  6. Then comes the time to give our collaboration the quality it deserves, with text and details. Once that’s done, I’ll send you the first draft so you can review it before we consider it finished.

  7. Once you give the final approval, I’ll prepare the final artwork and send it to you so you can start using the illustration.
